BEHIND THE DESIGN:
I have loved Sea Turtles for as long as I can remember. They are fearless world travelers, possessing qualities of persistence, endurance, longevity, and wisdom. They teach us about new beginnings, and to live in the moment. It is important to acknowledge that every journey is different so be grateful, be present, and keep a steady pace. Trust in yourself that you will get to where you need to go, no matter what life throws your way.
The Sea Turtle in my logo symbolizes slow fashion. It is important to me that bra love co., works in harmony with nature and does not add to our environmental crisis.
The spiral represents my journey of learning and relearning, trial and error, and the growth I have endured throughout the process.
My message is simple. It tells a story that I feel everyone can relate to, the story of life.
“Try to be like a turtle – at ease in your own shell;” is a familiar quote by Bill Copeland. Though simple, it demonstrates what everyone still struggles with, the importance of embracing who you are, and the vulnerability that comes with it. Even though society has evolved, I still feel there is a huge stigma around bras, being these ugly, uncomfortable undergarments we hide under our clothes. At bra love co., our mission is to, take a step back, stop the shaming and instead reevaluate our most important layer of clothing, held closest to our skin.
I started bra love co., because I love seeking out what nature provides for us and turning it into something beautiful. That’s why we are ‘sticking our necks out’ to make sustainable and unique bras with 100% transparency. Bras play a huge role in our daily lives, making it a must to feel happy and at ease wearing them, without sacrificing our well-being or our planet.
